Job Description:
We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for United States-based healthcare revenue cycle executives experienced in end-to-end revenue cycle operations, payer contracting, financial performance management, revenue cycle transformation, executive reporting, and strategic healthcare operations leadership.
This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on AI-assisted revenue cycle strategy evaluation, healthcare financial performance review, operational improvement assessment, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will apply executive-level revenue cycle expertise to evaluate AI-generated strategy outputs, assess operational recommendations, review financial performance logic, and provide structured strategic feedback based on detailed project criteria.

Revenue Cycle Strategy & Operations Review
- Review end-to-end revenue cycle strategy across patient access, coding, billing, denials, accounts receivable, collections, and cash performance
- Evaluate AI-generated revenue cycle performance analyses, operational improvement plans, and strategic recommendations for accuracy, feasibility, and executive relevance
- Assess recommendations related to revenue leakage, workflow automation, reimbursement optimization, payer performance, and financial improvement
- Apply senior revenue cycle judgment to determine whether outputs are practical, scalable, and aligned with healthcare organization priorities
Executive Financial Performance Evaluation
- Review revenue cycle KPIs such as net collection rate, days in accounts receivable, denial rate, cost to collect, cash collections, and reimbursement performance
- Evaluate outputs involving budget oversight, P&L considerations, financial performance reporting, forecasting, and revenue realization
- Assess payer contracting strategy, managed care relationships, reimbursement trends, and enterprise-level financial implications
- Translate complex revenue cycle performance data and AI-generated outputs into clear strategic recommendations
Leadership, Transformation & Structured Feedback
- Evaluate revenue cycle transformation initiatives involving health systems, hospitals, physician groups, multi-site operations, or enterprise consolidation
- Review strategic outputs intended for executive leadership, boards, investors, finance teams, compliance leaders, and operational stakeholders
- Annotate AI-generated revenue cycle strategy content and provide structured feedback to support quality improvement
- Explain review decisions with consistency, senior-level judgment, and strong understanding of healthcare financial operations
Ideal Profile
Strong candidates may have:
- 10+ years of progressive revenue cycle leadership experience
- At least 5 years in a VP, Senior Director, executive, or equivalent senior leadership role
- Comprehensive knowledge of front-end, mid-cycle, and back-end revenue cycle operations
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, P&L considerations, financial reporting, and performance improvement
- Track record of leading large-scale revenue cycle transformation initiatives in health system, hospital, or physician group environments
- Deep familiarity with managed care contracting, payer relations, reimbursement optimization, and revenue cycle performance strategy
- Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, including executive-level presentation ability
- Ability to synthesize complex revenue cycle data, operational context, and AI-generated outputs into strategic recommendations
Educational Background
- Professional background in healthcare revenue cycle leadership, healthcare finance, hospital operations, physician enterprise operations, managed care, or financial performance management is highly relevant
- Senior experience as a VP of Revenue Cycle, Senior Director of Revenue Cycle, Revenue Cycle Executive, RCM-focused finance leader, or equivalent role may be especially valuable
- Experience in health systems, large physician enterprises, PE-backed healthcare organizations, hospital networks, or multi-site healthcare operations may support project fit
- Academic or professional background in healthcare administration, finance, accounting, business, analytics, public health, or a related field may be relevant depending on project scope
Nice to Have
- HFMA Fellow, CHFP, CRCR, or similar healthcare finance or revenue cycle credential
- Experience with RCM technology platforms, enterprise revenue cycle systems, EHR implementations, or large-scale reporting infrastructure
- Background leading multi-site or multi-entity revenue cycle consolidation, integration, standardization, or transformation initiatives
- Familiarity with AI tools and comfort evaluating AI-generated revenue cycle strategy, reporting, and operational improvement content
- Experience presenting revenue cycle performance to executive leadership, boards, investors, finance committees, or strategic planning teams
