Job Description:
We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced Corporate Finance Experts with strong expertise in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, numerical precision, and financial management to contribute to an advanced AI training and finance-evaluation project.
Selected professionals will design realistic corporate-finance tasks, create authentic supporting financial materials, define accurate solutions with defensible financial reasoning, and develop detailed grading rubrics used to evaluate advanced AI outputs. The work requires strong practical corporate-finance judgement, rigorous numerical accuracy, and the ability to translate complex financial data into clear recommendations. No prior experience in AI is required.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Finance Task Design
- Design complex evaluation tasks reflecting real-world corporate-finance workflows
- Develop scenarios involving budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis
- Create assignments that reflect genuine finance-manager responsibilities
- Ensure tasks capture the nuance and complexity of professional corporate-finance work
- Avoid oversimplified or purely textbook-style exercises
Financial Modelling & Forecasting
- Develop and evaluate financial models used in planning and decision-making
- Build realistic budgeting and forecasting scenarios
- Apply rigorous assumptions and calculation logic
- Assess model accuracy, structure, and internal consistency
- Maintain high standards of numerical precision across financial outputs
Variance Analysis & Financial Management
- Design tasks involving actual-versus-budget and actual-versus-forecast analysis
- Identify and explain material financial variances
- Evaluate operational and financial drivers underlying performance changes
- Translate financial findings into actionable management insights
- Apply sound financial judgement across complex business scenarios
Financial Artifacts & Supporting Documentation
- Create and curate budget spreadsheets, forecast models, reconciliations, and technical documentation
- Ensure supporting materials are realistic and internally consistent
- Work across structured financial data and business documentation
- Maintain clear assumptions and documentation throughout financial analyses
- Develop source materials that accurately reflect real corporate-finance environments
Solution Development & Financial Reasoning
- Define accurate solutions for each finance task
- Provide clear and defensible reasoning supporting financial conclusions
- Document assumptions, calculations, and methodological choices
- Evaluate alternative interpretations where appropriate
- Ensure recommendations are supported by the underlying financial evidence
Rubric Development & AI Evaluation
- Develop comprehensive grading rubrics containing 35+ evaluation criteria where required
- Assess numerical accuracy, methodological soundness, reasoning quality, and narrative clarity
- Define objective standards for strong corporate-finance outputs
- Evaluate AI-generated finance work against professional expectations
- Identify errors, weak assumptions, or unsupported financial conclusions
Ideal Profile
- 5+ years of experience in corporate finance
- Direct ownership of a P&L or significant departmental budget is strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Strong experience with month-end and quarter-end close processes
- Demonstrated expertise in reconciliation and variance analysis
- Advanced financial-modelling skills
- Strong track record of producing accurate and reliable numerical work
- Ability to synthesise complex data into actionable financial insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to explain technical financial concepts clearly to varied audiences
- Corporate-finance experience is strongly preferred over a purely accounting-focused background
- CPA, CFA, FMVA, MBA, or comparable qualifications are advantageous but not required
- No prior AI-training or model-evaluation experience is required
