Job Description:

We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced IT Managers with strong expertise in IT strategy, systems architecture, infrastructure planning, team leadership, vendor management, security compliance, and enterprise technology operations to contribute to an advanced AI training and IT-management evaluation project.

Selected professionals will apply real-world IT management experience to evaluate technology strategies, architecture decisions, vendor scenarios, security requirements, and operational processes. The work requires strong judgement across enterprise infrastructure, risk management, technical leadership, and technology planning. No prior experience in AI is required.

Key Responsibilities

IT Strategy & Technology Roadmapping

  • Provide expert input on IT strategy development and technology planning
  • Evaluate infrastructure and systems decisions against business objectives
  • Assess technology roadmaps for scalability, resilience, and operational feasibility
  • Identify gaps, dependencies, and risks in proposed IT strategies
  • Recommend practical approaches to modernising or optimising enterprise environments

Systems Architecture & Infrastructure

  • Review systems architecture and infrastructure-planning scenarios
  • Evaluate integration, reliability, scalability, and maintainability considerations
  • Identify architectural weaknesses or implementation risks
  • Provide guidance on infrastructure optimisation and system design
  • Assess proposed solutions from a holistic IT-management perspective

Vendor Management & Procurement

  • Evaluate real-world vendor-management and procurement scenarios
  • Review third-party technology proposals and integration approaches
  • Assess contract, implementation, support, and operational considerations
  • Identify risks associated with external vendors and technology dependencies
  • Recommend approaches that improve vendor accountability and system compatibility

Security Compliance & Risk Management

  • Contribute expert guidance on security compliance and technology risk
  • Evaluate scenarios involving frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, or comparable standards
  • Identify control gaps, security weaknesses, and compliance concerns
  • Apply risk-management principles to infrastructure and operational decisions
  • Recommend practical mitigation strategies aligned with business needs

Team Leadership & IT Operations

  • Share best practices for leading technical teams and IT organisations
  • Evaluate team structures, ownership models, and escalation processes
  • Provide guidance on knowledge transfer, mentoring, and technical upskilling
  • Assess operational workflows for clarity, accountability, and efficiency
  • Support development of scalable management practices across technical teams

Documentation & Process Evaluation

  • Review IT documentation, workflows, and process designs
  • Identify ambiguity, inefficiency, or gaps in proposed operating procedures
  • Provide structured feedback that improves clarity and feasibility
  • Assess whether documentation supports effective execution and governance
  • Participate in written assignments and structured discussions involving IT-management scenarios

Ideal Profile

  • 5+ years of experience as an IT Manager, Systems Manager, Infrastructure Manager, or in a comparable technology-leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical teams or managing enterprise-scale infrastructure
  • Strong expertise in IT strategy and technology roadmapping
  • Deep understanding of systems architecture and infrastructure planning
  • Strong vendor-management and third-party integration experience
  • Familiarity with contract evaluation and technology procurement
  • Strong knowledge of security compliance and risk-management practices
  • Experience with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, or comparable standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to varied audiences
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, or developing IT professionals
  • Strong ability to evaluate processes, documentation, and operating models holistically
  • No prior AI-training or model-evaluation experience is required

  • Compensation: $60–$75/hour
  • Work will involve IT strategy, systems architecture, vendor management, security compliance, infrastructure evaluation, and technical leadership
  • Strong enterprise IT-management experience is central to this engagement
  • Assignments may include architecture reviews, process evaluation, risk analysis, vendor scenarios, and IT operations strategy
  • Project scope, workload, technical scenarios, and evaluation standards may evolve depending on project requirements
