Remote | Training, Onboarding & L&D Evaluation Consultant — $70–$110/hour
Job Description:
We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for training, onboarding, and learning & development professionals experienced in reviewing learning materials, onboarding plans, training documents, facilitator guides, curricula, job aids, spreadsheets, slide decks, and presentation-ready L&D artifacts for accuracy, rigor, clarity, and domain quality.
This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on training artifact review, onboarding materials evaluation, L&D quality assessment, rubric-based review, document and spreadsheet assessment, slide deck quality review, structured feedback, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will evaluate AI-generated work products and apply subject-matter expertise to identify factual, instructional, aesthetic, and presentation issues.
Key Responsibilities
Professionals in this role may contribute to:
Training & L&D Artifact Review
- Evaluate AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks involving training materials, onboarding plans, learning paths, curricula, facilitator guides, job aids, learner resources, and employee enablement materials
- Review L&D materials for accuracy, completeness, rigor, clarity, and practical relevance
- Assess whether materials are well-structured, learner-centered, measurable, and appropriate for the stated audience
- Identify unclear learning objectives, weak instructional flow, incomplete guidance, inaccurate assumptions, or poor linkage between training goals and learner activities
Onboarding & Learning Design Evaluation
- Review materials involving new hire onboarding, role-based training, knowledge checks, learning objectives, assessment rubrics, training schedules, and learning measurement plans
- Assess whether onboarding and training materials are practical, engaging, accessible, and suitable for workplace learning contexts
- Evaluate spreadsheets, training trackers, curriculum maps, learning decks, facilitator materials, and leadership-facing summaries for rigor and usability
- Provide clear written feedback that improves training and onboarding artifact quality
Spreadsheet, Document & Presentation Quality Review
- Review spreadsheets for structure, logic, calculations, formatting, usability, and consistency
- Assess slide decks for organization, visual clarity, executive readability, and presentation quality
- Identify factual, aesthetic, formatting, and presentation errors across Microsoft Office and Google Workspace files
- Apply consistent review standards across documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks
Ideal Profile
Strong candidates may have:
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in training, onboarding, learning and development, instructional design, curriculum development, employee enablement, facilitation, workplace learning, or related work
- Native or professional fluency in English
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Strong experience with Google Slides, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Sheets, Word, and Google Docs
- Ability to evaluate documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks with strong attention to detail
- Excellent written communication skills and ability to provide structured feedback
- Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment
Educational Background
- Academic backgrounds in education, instructional design, learning sciences, human resources, organizational psychology, communications, business, or related fields may be relevant
- Advanced degree from a reputable institution may be valuable
- Professional training in instructional design, adult learning, onboarding, curriculum development, facilitation, or learning measurement may also be relevant depending on project scope
Nice to Have
- Master's degree, MEd, MA, MBA, CPTD, APTD, instructional design certification, or comparable L&D-related credential
- Experience creating or reviewing onboarding plans, training decks, facilitator guides, learner guides, curriculum maps, job aids, knowledge checks, LMS materials, or learning measurement reports
- Familiarity with ADDIE, SAM, Kirkpatrick evaluation, adult learning principles, accessibility-informed learning design, and role-based training design
- Experience with tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Captivate, Canva, Moodle, Canvas, Cornerstone, Docebo, Workday Learning, TalentLMS, or comparable learning platforms
- Strong ability to evaluate both instructional substance and visual/presentation quality
