Job Description:
We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced Gastroenterologists with deep clinical expertise in digestive health, hepatology, endoscopic diagnostics, and complex gastrointestinal care.
This role supports an exciting collaboration with a healthcare AI partner developing advanced clinical decision-support systems focused on digestive health, hepatology, and endoscopic diagnostics.
Selected professionals will apply their clinical expertise to review, annotate, and validate gastroenterology-related medical data, helping ensure that advanced AI systems accurately reflect real-world diagnostic reasoning, guideline adherence, procedural knowledge, and patient safety standards. This role bridges day-to-day gastroenterology practice with applied medical AI, with a strong focus on safe, reliable, and clinically grounded model training.
Key Responsibilities
Professionals in this role may contribute to:
Clinical Data Annotation
Review and label clinical narratives, EHR notes, endoscopy reports, imaging findings, and case data related to gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions
Identify and validate diagnoses, diagnostic workups, procedural findings, treatment plans, and outcomes across a wide range of GI and hepatology presentations
Support high-quality clinical annotation across complex gastroenterology workflows
Quality Review & Validation
Audit annotated datasets for clinical accuracy and guideline alignment, including AGA, ACG, and AASLD standards
Evaluate AI-generated recommendations for diagnostic evaluation, medical management, and procedural interventions
Help maintain strong standards for safety, accuracy, and clinical reliability
Knowledge Contribution & Model Feedback
Define annotation guidelines for complex GI conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, cirrhosis complications, pancreatic disorders, and related conditions
Advise on taxonomy and edge cases such as obscure GI bleeding, functional disorders, and post-procedural complications
Review AI-generated clinical summaries, endoscopy interpretations, and treatment suggestions, and provide structured feedback to improve diagnostic reasoning, procedural accuracy, and patient safety
Documentation & Training Support
Contribute to specialty-specific annotation standards and onboarding materials
Help support structured workflows through clear documentation and domain-informed guidance
Maintain consistency in how gastroenterology and hepatology concepts are represented across project materials
Ideal Profile
Strong candidates may have:
An MD or DO with Gastroenterology specialization
Board certification or board eligibility in Gastroenterology
An active U.S. medical license in good standing
5+ years of post-fellowship clinical experience
Strong familiarity with EHRs, endoscopy reporting systems, and clinical terminologies
A strong interest in applied medical AI or clinical informatics
Preferred qualifications
Experience with endoscopy, inpatient consults, and complex GI or hepatology cases
Deep familiarity with guideline-based care across digestive and hepatobiliary conditions
Ability to apply real-world clinical judgment to structured review, annotation, and validation tasks
Comfort working across case data, clinical summaries, procedural interpretations, and treatment recommendation workflows

Hourly compensation of $150–$200 per hour

Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on project needs and performance
Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise
