Onsite | Senior Power Design Engineer — $70–$95/hour
Job Description:
We are sharing a specialised full-time W-2 opportunity for experienced semiconductor and hardware engineering professionals with strong backgrounds in power analysis, low-power implementation, RTL-to-GDSII design flows, and advanced-node design optimization.

Selected professionals will perform comprehensive power analysis across multiple design stages from RTL to GDSII, contribute to the development and automation of power analysis workflows, investigate power inefficiencies, and provide actionable feedback to RTL design teams. This role is especially well-suited to engineers with deep expertise in advanced technology nodes, low-power signoff, power reduction methodologies, and scripting-driven analysis.

Power Analysis & Optimization
Perform comprehensive power analysis at various design stages spanning from RTL to GDSII
Investigate and address power inefficiencies and provide actionable feedback to the RTL design team
Support power reduction efforts using industry-standard tools and structured engineering analysis
Flow Development & Automation
Contribute to the development, improvement, and automation of power analysis flows
Gather and analyze large datasets for power modeling through automated processes
Help improve engineering efficiency through scripting, analysis tooling, and repeatable workflows
Design & Technical Collaboration
Apply expertise in low-power implementation and signoff, including power gating, multiple voltage rails, and Unified Power Format (UPF) usage
Work across RTL design principles, power optimization, and related design flow requirements
Collaborate within structured enterprise engineering environments on high-impact technical initiatives
Ideal Profile
Strong candidates may have:
Demonstrated experience with RTL-to-GDSII design flow usage and development in advanced technology nodes, especially 7nm and below
Expertise in low-power implementation and signoff, including power gating, multiple voltage rails, and UPF usage
Proven experience in power analysis and reduction using industry-standard tools such as PrimeTime PX or PrimePower
Proficiency in scripting languages, especially Python, and familiarity with ML/AI frameworks
Working knowledge of RTL design principles
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science
Preferred qualifications
Experience in RTL power optimization using specialised tools such as Power-Artist
Experience with synthesis and Place and Route (PnR) flows
Experience analyzing IP design for power characteristics and building run-time estimation models for software or firmware teams
Skills in data analysis and data modeling, including the application of machine learning approaches
Master's degree preferred but not required
