Job Description:

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for data science professionals experienced in statistical modeling, applied machine learning, data analysis, statistical inference, analytical task design, evaluation frameworks, and clear technical feedback.

This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on data science methodology, quantitative reasoning, analytical solution design, statistical and machine learning evaluation, task review, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will design challenging data science tasks, review analytical solutions, and provide structured technical feedback to improve correctness, rigor, and clarity.

Data Science Task Design & Analytical Solutions

  • Design challenging data science tasks that test statistical reasoning, modeling judgment, and analytical decision-making
  • Write accurate, well-structured solutions for quantitative and data-focused tasks
  • Create task materials involving data analysis, statistical inference, machine learning pipelines, or applied modeling scenarios
  • Ensure tasks are clear, rigorous, and appropriate for structured evaluation

Statistical & Machine Learning Review

  • Review data science tasks and solutions for correctness, rigor, and methodological soundness
  • Evaluate approaches involving statistical inference, modeling choices, data analysis methods, and machine learning pipeline design
  • Identify weak assumptions, incomplete analysis, flawed methodology, or unsupported conclusions
  • Provide clear written feedback that explains technical issues and improves solution quality

Evaluation Frameworks & Technical Feedback

  • Develop guidelines and evaluation frameworks for assessing statistical reasoning, ML pipeline design, and analytical quality
  • Apply structured rubrics to evaluate data science reasoning and solution accuracy
  • Collaborate with other subject-matter experts to support consistency and technical accuracy
  • Maintain high standards for clarity, reproducibility, and analytical precision across submitted work

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

  • 3+ years of professional or research experience in data science, data analysis, statistical modeling, applied machine learning, or related analytical work
  • Strong understanding of statistical inference, modeling best practices, data analysis workflows, and machine learning evaluation
  • Ability to design and review rigorous analytical tasks and structured technical solutions
  • Prior experience with data annotation, labeling, evaluation, or human feedback collection as a strong plus
  • Experience with AI systems, LLMs, or agentic workflows as a plus
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to explain analytical decisions and modeling choices clearly
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment

Educational Background

  • Academic backgrounds in data science, statistics, computer science, mathematics, economics, engineering, machine learning, quantitative social science, or related fields may be highly relevant
  • Professional experience in applied data science, statistical modeling, ML engineering, data analysis, research, or technical evaluation may be especially valuable
  • Equivalent professional or research experience may be considered depending on project needs

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Python, R, SQL, Jupyter, pandas, scikit-learn, statistical modeling tools, or machine learning workflows
  • Familiarity with experiment design, causal inference, predictive modeling, model evaluation, data cleaning, or feature engineering
  • Experience developing rubrics, evaluation frameworks, benchmark tasks, or technical review guidelines

  • Availability for approximately 40 hours per week during weekdays depending on project scope
